Potato Dauphinoise
Here is great wee recipe to try out something new with your potatoes its a French dish that we have stolen.

Serves : 4
INGREDIENTS
500g : Potatoes, thinly sliced
200ml : Double cream
1 Clove garlic crushed
50g : Gruyere cheese, grated
Preheat the oven to 180oc/ 350of / gas 4
Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl to stop them browning, then when ready pat them dry with kitchen paper.
Place the cream, milk and garlic in a large saucepan and bring to a simmer. Then add the potatoes, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes until just tender then season well.
Transfer it all over to a buttered oven proof dish and sprinkle over the cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes until the top is golden, and that’s it pretty simple and quick.
A nice easy recipe to spruce up your potatoes for a change.
